Lily in the sandpit in the shade of the magnolia grandiflora. What I like is the brightness of the chestnut tree trunk in its shadow. A brightness from the light reflected of the sunlit ground around it.

Pink Camellia

Pink camellia. Painted after school drop-off. I was aware that these are precious moments and this painting is a tangible reminder. The camellias are first to brave the chill of early spring, taking their chances against the frequent frosts to delight and show off their delicate and exuberant blossom. As in life, most folk are too busy to stop and stare in wonder at its magnificence.
