Slade Harbour
60 x 60
£ 1250 instead of £1600
Slade Harbour. Painted when Louise was singing at Wexford Opera Festival. I love the strong contrasts, the repeated shapes, patterns and reflections of light and shadow. Shona
82 x 55 cm
£ 900 instead of £1000
Looking back. I love life drawing and painting. I always have. It exposes you technically and emotionally. As a learning vector nothing beats it. After spending time in the exhibition of Rembrandt’s late paintings I felt he as an artist had reached the highest level imaginable. He achieved invisibility, in that in regarding his subjects you were looking straight into their souls. The art of painting so true that the physical and emotional presence of the subject are alive with you. They are immediately recognisable as Rembrandt’s, because no one else comes close. This life study is on sale as part of my #artistsupportpledge oil on prepared paper mounted on board, 82x55cm . #robertinnes #lifepainting #liferoom #artistsmodel #oilsketch #mauve #backview #paintingfromlife #figurativeart #lockdownart #artforsalebyartist #affordableart #artinthetimeofcorona #alittlebeautyeveryday #myquietbeauty #alwayscurious #seekthesimplicity
