The 2011 Plein Air Prize winner is John Kingsley.

The 2010 Plein Air Prize winner is John C Brown RSW.

This prize, awarded at the Paisley Art Institute Annual Exhibition and its bi-annual Drawing Competition, was instigated to reward, encourage and promote drawing and painting from life.

This year the prize grew to include The Glasgow School of Art Plein Air Prize, awarded at the annual degree show. The inaugural winner of the 2010 GSA Plein Air Prize is Naomi Bourne, a graduate of the Drawing and Painting Department.

I welcome artists and offer a generous discount from the normal rates for artists and their families.

    31 January 2010.

This was the last day of my London exhibition and thank-you to all who have visited the exhbition. I have been exceptionally pleased with the repeated comments that my paintings uplift the spirits. For me that is the best compliment my work can attain. 25 paintings have sold to date which is a good result and makes the considerable investment required to put on an exhibition worth while.

    Thank-you.

We had a great 2009, Louise singing and I was busy painting both in Scotland and France. The glorious colours of autumn washed over the vines and spilt on to canvas.

Louise sang in the Monteverdi Choir with Sir John Elliot Gardiner and the LSO (Beethoven 9) in Basinstoke; Madrid and London. (January and February)

Louise will be returning to Covent Garden in June / July performing Javotte (Manon) with Anna Netrebko in the title role and Antonio Pappano conducting.
